| Wow. Xanga. By far my favoritest blogging site ever.
We've had some good times. Very few people read this anymore, but
I've missed this terribly for the past couple of weeks, and so....I
HAVE RETURNED!!! Feel free to dance around with joy. Boy
did I miss saying semi-witty things to myself.
I was sitting here thinking, "if only i still had xanga", and then I
clicked the New Weblog Entry button and it was THAT easy!
It would take far too long to fill xanga in on everything that's
happened since Soph Hop, so I'll just mention some very recent
happenings.
On friday i went with Mel, Marj, Sam, and Marj's parents to the
Penitentiary for a haunted house thing. There was a guy in a bush
costume who scared Marj so badly that she fell on the ground. The
best part was the 3-D part, with special glasses and everything.
There was a room of 3-D poka-dots, and that makes everything better.
Today I had a tennis match, in the playoffs. It was against
Girls' High, and Central won 6-1. My partner and I won our match,
but it took a very very long time because we had to play a tie-breaker
and then a third set and it got dark.
That was not witty at all. Have I lost my touch? I will try to think of some more witty things for my next post.

| Soph hop was fun. Daniel Radcliffe the photographer was there, but he wore a beanie that ruined the effect. Ross and I were the very first ones there. Everyone looked really nice and fancied up, except Mr. Wolfinger (my french teacher). He didn't even tuck his shirt in. After a couple hours of everyone shoving cameras in each other's faces, our table got the party started by being the first ones on the dance floor. Here are some of the pictures I took

| Raindrops keep falling on my head, they keep falling...
Yesterday I read a very good part of The Master and Margarita, where I met the Master for the first time (he is first mentioned almost halfway through the book) and he told a story about how he first saw Margarita on the street and she had these repulsive yellow flowers that stood out against her spring coat, yadda yadda yadda, and then the Master ended up in the asylum.
Last night I had this brownie and ice cream dessert and it was so good.
"In Germany early romantics of the 1770s and 1780s called themselves the 'Storm and Stress' (Sturm und Drang) group." Sturm und Drang? Coincidence with Durmstrang from Harry Potter? I think not!
I want to make a list of song requests to submit to the Soph Hop Committee in order to save the Soph Hop from the party-ruiner that is rap music. Suggestions? | | |
| I've just been enlightened and greatly cheered by the "About the Author" section at the end of Second Foundation (by Isaac Asimov). The highlights of it are as follows: "Isaac Asimov was born in the Soviet Union to his great surprise. He moved quickly to correct the situation. When his parents emigrated to the United States, Isaac (three years old at the time) stowed away in their baggage...He remains as youthful, as lively, and as lovable as ever, and grows more handsome with each year. You can be sure that this is so since he has written this little essay himself and his devotion to absolute objectivity is notorious."
I'm proud to say that I have not done an inkling of schoolwork today, and have only been plagued occasionally with pangs of guilt regarding a certain Chemistry book I should be studying.
Glad to see the fans are still reading after my, shall we say, xanga hiatus. I think I even received a death threat before my last update. Which reminds me:
Ahem. Dear Sam,
Where is your article? Write it under pain of death.
Best Regards,
Anna

| I'm trying to decide if I should go to CTY (nerd camp) this summer or
get a job. There's this science fiction class at CTY that sounds
really cool (I was about to say uber, but I didn't. Except now I
did.) but I dont think I'll be allowed to take it because it says you
have to have already taken some other class before it.
Movies I've seen recently:
Fun With Dick and Jane-This was ok, some funny parts, but nothing amazing.
Rumor Has It-This was typical cheap chick-flick type stuff. I didn't like it.
Match Point-When I first came out of the theater I thought it was just
ok because I was put off by the ending, but I kept thinking about it
and came to the conclusion that it was well done, the acting was great,
and even the ending was good; it was just a sudden change in genre.
Oh, guess who got straight A's. Go on, guess. And then guess who's gloating.
I got my first C on standard mode in DDR. (That's a good thing; before I got all F's on standard.)
I got a dress for Soph Hop. It's blue and black, which doesn't
sound good because those are the colors of a bruise, but it's not like
that. I hope the song isn't that Usher or Jay-Z or whoever song,
but it doesn't really matter.
